History: Monomak AB was registered as a company on September 12, 1977 by Göran Hurtsén. A few years earlier he also started a healthcare company as he had a foot in each industry since before. As a horse lover and cavalryman, Monomak AB was a company close to his heart! From 1979 Monomak was run with employed staff and since then it has delivered products all over Sweden and the Nordic countries. In the same year, the company started supplying bows to the Gothenburg Horse Show where we were the supplier of bows for 36 years. We have also been a supplier of bows to the trot all these years, even today! Over the years, we have also delivered small and large volumes of bows to Sweden's kennel and dog clubs. Among other things, Monomak delivered 14,000 rosettes to Östergötlands Kennelklubb, 1991 and most recently in 2017, Östergötlands KK had a three-day show where we delivered 9000 rosettes! Norra Älvsborgs KK has been a customer of ours since the beginning and we are so grateful for all our customers - big and small - horse, dog, rabbit, alpacas etc!
Monomak has for many years been a supplier of shields to the Swedish Armed Forces and Navy. In 2015, we delivered 25 large shields to the Royal Palace wing in Stockholm, where they now hang on the wall in one of the rooms. Over the years, several municipalities, the Swedish Maritime Administration and the Swedish Police Authority have also bought coats of arms from us, as have private individuals.
After many years as a board member, in 2010 Göran's daughter Jessica was hired by Monomak to take over the family business. In the same year, the company moved from Ängelholm to Vällingby outside Stockholm and is run by Jessica Hurtsén. Sadly, Göran passed away suddenly from cancer in January 2011. The company is run in his spirit - customers in focus, quality of products and personal service. We have developed Monomak through new products, new markets in Europe and by being responsive and curious!
Monomak's rosettes can of course be used for much more than animal shows and competitions. It is an effective and different way to get your message across at fairs, events, conferences and other events. You can put a pin on the back of the bow as well as use a hook to attach it to clothing.
